NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a four% rise over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is a 13% improvement from the year before.

"It is so exciting to see yet another increase in tourism to Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers in 2019," said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States has been the most important source of tourism for Israel inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak we were celebrating record figures of the number of tourists entering Israel each month.

Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't much from the United States.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 came of the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
