Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from America. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He stated, "It's so exciting to again see an increasing number of tourists visiting Israel from America, already exceeding or even surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". נווה פריצקי "The United States is our number one destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record number of tourists from Israel entering Israel every month. We are extremely happy to see this positive change and expect it to continue for a long time."
Canada is set to surpass Israel's arrivals in tourist numbers 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
Gal Hana (Consul and Director for Canada, Israel Ministry of Tourism) said that "it is thrilling to observe how Canada's travel to Israel is growing." "We aren't far off our record 2019, and we anticipate that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians feel more confident about traveling internationally."
Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country's official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
