Neve Paritzki Israel celebrates record-breaking tourism entry Numbers from the United States

NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over 2019, while 71,000 American tourists visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking figures of tourist entry month after month. It's a great positive change that we are pleased to witness and expect an upward trend for many months to be."

Canada is set to beat Israel's tourism arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

"It is thrilling to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Director and Consul for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We anticipate that this trend will continue as Canadians travel more abroad.
