NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022/PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country received 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022 which is an increase of 13% from the year before.

Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to witness a further increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already reaching or surpassing our record breaking numbers of 2019". "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are thrilled to witness this change and expect a steady upward trend for months, and possibly years.

Canada is in the process, like the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada saw 7,200 tourists and August was a record 6,600.

"It is exciting to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We aren't too far from our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that this increase in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain comfortable traveling abroad."

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 including 969.600 coming from the United States.  https://nevefrietzki.co.il/ In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they're immunized. Israel already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
